Welcome to 2006! by Spherx

It's a new year and a new chance for us to really knock peoples' socks off with our site. We won't lie, it's been a challenge keeping the site interesting for a whole year. Last year only had two main page updates while we reviewed movies in seclusion.

Not this time though! We're already rolling along with some fantastic updates. There might be a cartoon on the way, another trip to E3, and more reviews than ever! And maybe we'll actually do enough to get us to 2007.

 

BAT-CHITTIX BEGINS

FEAR THE KNIGHT! FOR IT IS I, BAT-CHITTIX, recently resurrected from a death at the hands of a terrible movie starring myself. But now, I'M BACK and fighting for justice again. With me, I bring a festival of Batman related news such as my fantastic new movie that you should definitely see. Also, I have a new video game based on that movie which is pretty good as well.

To celebrate my return and the new action taken to the site, we're gearing up for 5 REVIEWS A DAY FOR THE NEXT 3 WEEKS! Through this we'll be unveiling the new point-counter point review format! Now, I return to the shadows!

Zombie Kittens and Dynamite

Whoa! Where have we been? It's been a month since we've checked into our site. As usual, we're terribly busy with other "projects". But that should end really soon. In the meantime, we've seen some more movies and would like to share them with you if that is okay. We caught a sneak preview of Shaun of the Dead and highly recommend it! Included in this update's collection are, Napoleon Dynamite, Catwoman, Hero, and Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I also highly recommend Napoleon Dynamite, but as for Catwoman, let's just say we didn't waste too much money thanks to the Animated Batman DVD's and an extra free ticket.

 

The Return of the Laser Pointer

So Ash, Bug and I all manage to buy copies of the newly released Predator special edition and get the free tickets to AVP. Our local theater is then gracious enough to feature a Thursday (actually Friday) midnight showing of the movie. So we go... and about five minutes into the film I notice a sight I have not seen since Star Wars I... the laser pointer... spinning around on the top of the screen like some desperate attempt at feeling important. Then it showed up later during a segment on Predator backstory.

I couldn't believe it? Who thought that would be cool? Obviously someone who's lonely and needs attention. GO BACK TO 1999 YOU LOSER! Laser pointers ruined movies back then too... except they we're cutting edge!

Of course, what this story really means is that we have an Alien vs. Predator review ready and waiting for you to read. But please leave your lasers at home.

 

ATHF NOT CANCELLED!!!

Despite Adult Swim's campaign to make me believe they have cancelled one of my favorite shows, I have done some research and discovered that they are actually just beginning a new season! August 15th is the day they air "The Last Episode" which is actually called "Gee Whiz" and is the first of several episodes slated to air the next few Sundays. So, that was a close call huh? If you need some evidence of my findings, go here! Now lets all take a sigh of relief that this crisis was averted.
