Batman Begins

REVIEW CREW: Spherx, Idiot Chittix

Rated T for Teen
Electronic Arts
Released on June 15, 2005

Sure, movie to game adaptations usually fall flat, but since the movie was so good we had to take a chance. So how did the Batman Begins game stack up? Well, it had to be better than Dark Tomorrow...
You know I am kinda scared to play this game…with all of my knowledge of Japanese movie/tv show games I have to say I am rarely impressed by them…I am going in unimpressed…
I have the same reservations that you do. Movie games rarely knock my socks off.
I know it seems to be that they really rush the game to store shelves rather than really taking the time to finish it. Some people do well under pressure but most do not. In truth the only real good movie game that I played was Spiderman 2.
I agree Spiderman 2 was the BOMB! But being a huge Batman fan I have faith that this will shine. Let us Begin…heheheheeh Batman Begins…
Man that graphics sure are nice…I also like the atmosphere of the game, very well done in that sense.
Yeah this game sure does seem pretty moody.
Yeah kinda like Cora on a bad day…
For once I feel like I am Batman.

Yeah it has a similar feel like Spiderman 2. I am impressed so far…Although the camera could use a little tweaking.

Indeed, although unlike Spiderman 2 you are stuck only going one path so there is little replay on the game; I can tell you that already.
Yeah definetly no replay…Maybe that is why they made the difficulty so high. Although they did throw in Checkpoints, I wish you could skip dialog scenes though.
At least you can move around a little bit, so it is not entirely constricting. I also like the movie clip ties-ins, Man this movie was sweet…
I know this movie was sweet…
The element of scaring your enemies does add a lot of dimension to the game…I like that a lot…It is more that just a mindless punch and kick game it has a little depth to it which makes you want to hunt for a more scary way to attack…
I do like that although the punching and kicking response feels little delayed…I must say that for the amount of time that they worked on this it came together very nicely, I like the unlockable features too…
Yeah there is all kinds of stuff like classic comic costumes and movie trailers and the gallery of fear…neat!
I give this game a B.
A little fine tuning and some more test time and maybe an A but I will give this a B.
